Ogden

A busy day started with the 5:45am alarm call - yuk - I'm allergic to mornings.

I managed to squeeze in 90 minutes birding with a walk around Ogden Water mid-afternoon.

Great to chat with JS and DJS on the circuit.

Showers early on but dry later, breezy and mild.

Birds:-

Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Grey Wagtail, Pied Wagtail.

C55 Black Headed Gull, c60 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

At least 2 Herring Gull.

8 Cormorant, 4 Oystercatcher.

Chiffchaff , Willow Warbler.

5 Swallow, 2 Kestrel over Soil Hill.

One Black Headed Gull has 2 leg rings - noticed from the photos, not seen at the time.

Elsewhere 2 Peregrine Falcons.

Meadow Brown??

  1. Good to have a chat. Meadow Brown, spot on John ! Found a Common Sand on the mud on our way back towards the Oyc's and 2 Raven also went over but that was about it.
