A late afternoon outing to Leeming and Leeshaw reservoirs was broken up by a visit to theexcellent fish and chip shop on the Crossroads to Haworth Road. Where 3 Swallow flew over.
We enjoyed a fish butty looking over Lower Laith reservoir from Haworth with a Kestrel for company.
Birds:-
Noting much happening at Leeming with dog walkers on the very edge of the reservoir not helping.
3 Tufted Duck, 1 Cormorant, 2 Grey Wagtail and the usual Gulls as far as I could tell.
Leeshaw was noisy with Greylag Geese flying overhead and landing on the water,
Canada Geese were in the fields.
Also about Heron and 2 Cormorant along with mostly large Gulls.
A couple of early(ish) mornings sky watching this week , from the garden ,brought me a Cormorant > north, 6 mega distant woodpigeon? and not a lot else.
DJB's (later morning) Many Pinkies on both days passing to the west of me?
