A chilly then warm kind of outing today with good spells of sunshine but very windy.
The usual circuit of the ever diminishing Ogden Water and home via "The Grunt", Percy Rd and Taylor Lane.
Very windy on the tops so I avoided Soil Hill completely.
Earlier we had an exercise walk along the Thornton cycle track where 2 Swallow passed by and there were a few singing Chiffchaff to listen to.
Birds:-
2 Cormorant, c100 Gulls, Great Crested Grebe.
2 Kestrel over Soil Hill and a Pied Wagtail along Percy Rd.
With such a poor birding performance I've been given home work.
I have to read "How to improve one's birding skills" By Woods & Piper.
With the plummeting water levels it looks we'll have to dilute what's left to make it go further.
