Garden, Thornton Cycle Track, Bradshaw Fields

The usual stuff today, a sit in the garden then a brisk walk along the Thornton Cycle Track to the Tunnel and back and later a meander up the local fields.

Garden:

Raptors seemed to be out and about this morning with 3 Buzzard seen over Oats Royd and another Raptor probably a Sparrowhawk approaching me from Oats Royd very high.

I had the 'Sparrowhawk' in the bins buy the problem with the clear blue sky is that as soon as I went for the camera I could not relocate the bird.

Late evening 11 Long Tailed Tit dropped into our beech hedge - a garden tick.

Thornton Cycle Track:

3 Great Spotted Woodpeckers called at different points - none seen.

6 Lesser Black-backed Gulls passed by.

Local Fields:

8 Magpie, 2 Little Owl, Kestrel.

A Green Woodpecker called loudly as it flushed from nearly underfoot!

I must have got its mug shot (as it undulated away) in the one photo that I took, but It's a bit like "Where's Wally" - lots of photo to look through but I cannot see the Pecker.

3 Common and 2 Black Headed Gull with a few Large Gulls over.

Peregrine seen elsewhere.
