Another busy day, I just managed a late afternoon walk up Percy Rd and across the fields to drop down Soil Hill main path to Percy road again. where this, now typical, November weather brought with it thick mist and fine drizzle as I got to soil hill alas.
I was hoping for a rare Bunting.. live in hope ......
It was good to get out and about though having spent most of the day in either MacDonald's or Matalan - neither of which is a favourite of mine - grump, grump , grump.
Birds:-
Kestrel, Pheasant.
Snipe (Flushed early, called once, flew low).
A few Meadow Pipits.
Large flock of Starling.
Sparrowhawk.
Not much else.
2 Pied Wagtail in Raggalds Flood field - the water is 'on the ebb'.
Starlings along pavement lane and a Peregrine was seen elsewhere.
