Ogden - A Tad Damp

Another very wet day today as I squeezed in a short birding walk, a circuit of Ogden Water, late afternoon in me wellies.

It was dark when I got home, well it was more or less dark all day, today.

All the reservoir feeding streams are firing on full bore, with fast moving brown soup, coming down from the moors above.

It looked like you could run a hydro electric plant from them.

Still loads of shoreline though, which is always a bonus.

Birds:-

Kingfisher.

Dipper.

Kestrel.

3 Fieldfare overhead.

C15 Siskin in the dark canopy.

Goldcrest, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit and Long Tailed Tit feeding together, moving along through the water side trees.

No sign of the large Chaffinch flock today, just a few Chaffinch seen.

c20 Small Gulls.

Great Spotted Woodpecker.
