Ogden to Bradshaw

A better afternoon weather wise, dry, dull and calm as I enjoyed a walk around Ogden Water - home was via Ned Hill Track, Soil Hill Top etc.

Nearing home the sun came out, winked at me ,before saying night night and turning the lights out - dark at 4 ish now.

I found my beanie cap on Soil Hill (lost it 2 days ago) I just need to find my leather glove - its somewhere along the field path that overlooks Kelham Farm Shop!

Birds:-

Ogden:

The usual Gull species (but not many) as far as I could tell, included, 3 Herring Gull on the water.

As I was leaving 2 or 3 Very noisy Herring Gull arrived.

A sad looking Black Headed Gull was sat on the west side stones.

Kingfisher.

2 Great Spotted Woodpecker (heard, neither seen).

4 Teal made a nice change.

Nuthatch.

A few Chaffinch.

Great, Blue, Coal and Long Tailed Tit along with Huggings of Goldcrest

Raven.

Elsewhere:

20 Goldfinch along Syke Lane.

2 Raven on Soil Hill comms. mast.

2 Meadow Pipit Soil Hill top.

A Snipe flushed (no call, flew low) as I reached Soil Hill top.

Nothing much seen from Soil Hill to home as the light faded.

Interesting Chaffinch
