Local Fields Etc

A crisp cold sunny day today.

We enjoyed our exercise walk after lunch, going  up Taylor Lane along Percy Road down Ned Hill Lane and along Ingham Lane to home.

I took the bins and camera but didn't  dawdle really and didn't  see a lot.

Later on I had a solitary walk up the local fields where things were a tad better.

No CafĂ© stop today Boo Hoo.

(Sue got into the car outside Tesco's this morning and said brrrrr it's 3 ° -  "When a child is born" was playing  on Ken Bruce on radio 2 at the time.

So, being the super funny wag "what I am"  I told here that it wasn't  3 °  it was Johnny Mathis.

Hoo B.... Hoo.

Well.... I thought it was funny, you can't  please some people can you?)

  1. Doing well for Stonechats John. Hope they get through this cold and frosty spell. Pair on Ringby Lane this morning with a Reed Bunt and 9 Mipits - but not a lot else.

  2. Nice up there I guess this morning. I rarely connect with Reed Buntings up there..dont know why. plenty of horses in the fields where my Stonechats were. So probably some grub for them with the horses breaking up the ground.I hear a Mipit now and again in the local fields but they take some finding..good to get 9. My tip for your next mega...a Shrike!!
