Local Outings (Again)

Another 'dodgy' day weather wise today, wind and heavy rain interspersed with some dry stuff (but not a lot).

I had a repeat performance of yesterday with a walk up to the flood this morning and another nosy at the local fields this aft.

Raggalds Flood:

The flood is dwindling - probably gone soon - unless we get some more heavy rain (ho-ho-ho).

A bright-ish walk up Bradshaw Lane this morning where there were some winter Thrushes seen as I looked West from the Bonnet.

Probably 25 or so Winter Thrushes and a small flock of Starling.

At least 4 Mistle Thrush with the Fieldfare and Redwing.

Not as many small Gulls as yesterday (I didn't check out the sports field today).

2 Stock Doves flew past as I went towards home.

Local Fields:

Late afternoon the rain packed in for a while and I risked going out.

It was ok weather wise, but a lot colder than of late and windy as usual.

We will be all on 'free' wind driven electricity soon.

A solitary Raven passed by followed later by 2 more.

33 Small Gulls in the fields at one point were mostly Common Gulls.

A Mistle Thrush was motionless on a wall.

Not much else today.
