Bradshaw Fields and White Windows (Sowerby Bridge)

Abi and Emma to entertain today but I enjoyed a walk up the local fields this morning whilst Abi caught up on some will deserved sleep.

Cloudy and with quite a raw feel to the weather with a brisk N or NE wind.

Not bad really for a 30 minute stroll.

Later we all went to Sowerby Bridge, Wetherspoons for a late lunch.

I had a quick squint at White Windows gardens whilst we were there.

Here again, not bad really with a few birds on offer.

Birds:-

Bradshaw Fields:

Kestrel, 2 Little Owl.

Heron, Pheasant.

2 Herring Gulls.

Small Gulls in distant fields.

A Green Woodpecker called frequently.

(I could not locate the Green Pecker at the time. and as I was turning for home I took a random photo of a distant large conifer (just in case).

Low and behold when I "developed" the photo on the laptop the Green Woodpecker emerged from the photo.

White Windows:

24 Redwing.

Collard Dove.

Pr, Bullfinch.

Nuthatch.

Long Tailed Tit.

and a few other sp.

A Lesser Black-backed Gull was near Morrisons, Illingworth as we passed.

2 Little Owl.

Green Woodpecker.
