Pugneys Park - Wakefield Area

We took Emma to Halifax Hospital this afternoon (Thursday) - a long long do!!

I had a short look at Saville Park and some of the streets here.

Got a few photos that I will post tomorrow.

Meantime, some details from our yesterday's (Wednesday's)  Pugneys outing:-

We had a 30 minute break from the driving, on our way home from Reading, leaving the M1 to visit Pugneys Park nr. Wakefield.

Not an extensive visit with just the area around the cafĂ© being gazed upon.

Quite windy here with dark clouds but just dribs and drabs of drizzle - a lot better that I expected after checking the forecast earlier.

Lots of Ducks and Geese here as usual.

Birds:-

c140 Widgeon (checked for a yank).

7 Pochard

Tufted Duck.

c40 Coot.

Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Herring Gull.

Many Black Headed Gull - checked through.

3 Great Created Grebe.

Cormorant.

Canada Geese.

Pied Wagtail.

No doubt plenty of other sp. on the other large pond.
