Otley:
We enjoyed a run over to Otley for a change of scenery this morning.
We had a look at the shops (mainly charity shops) for some 1,000 piece Jigsaws for Sue.
We struck gold in a couple of shops with quite a good selection at rock bottom prices.
(Hope all the pieces are there).
Brunch at a smart Wetherspoons was cracking as well.
[Breakfast Muffin (Bacon, Egg, Sausage, Bit of Cheese and a coffee) £3.17 !! or pretty close to that, I think]
Afterwards we had a short walk along the riverside, although we were intending to go a lot further at the outset, the heavy rain put a 'dampener' on the job!
Nevertheless we did see a few birds on the shorter version.
Earlier, while we were stopped at some traffic lights in Shipley, I took a few speculative photos of a distant tall chimney.
A Peregrine was just visible on the chimney when I zoomed the photo, on the laptop, later.
A Red Kite was very distant, airborne, as we came past the Chevin Pub on our way home and a Curlew called.
So given the weather - not a bad do.
Local Fields:
A late afternoon walk up the local fields to the outskirts of the farms was another very wet and quite windy affair.
Just the usual suspects hereabouts with the rain unhelpful.
Anyway, the rain might make me grow a bit.
Difficult to keep Camera , Bins, Gloves and Glasses dry today!
