An afternoon run out to check on a couple of local reservoirs today was dull throughout and I caught a heavy shower just as as I was leaving Ogden Water.
Good to bump into NK at Mixenden Reservoir who had some good bird sightings at the Cold Edge Dams area earlier.
A walk up the local fields in misty wet stuff, not bad weather for mid November, was non too exciting.
Birds:
Mixenden:
The water was very choppy in the strong wind with just one Mallard seen on it.
A Cormorant was resting on the far, east, side stones.
A Chiffchaff sang from the woods.
Ogden:
Curlew (or two) heard a couple of times from high up back lane somewhere.
Great Spotted Woodpecker called from east of the water.
Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler.
Raven heard from high over the north end.
A Treecreeper, creeped up a tree, when I went looking in the woods, for something special.
Not much else.
Local Fields:
2 Little Owl.
44 Woodpigeon in the horse fields.
Lesser Black-backed Gull over the garden.
