We went to Hollingworth Lake this afternoon, not a bad day when we left Halifax but mist and drizzle at Hollingworth Lake - brightened a bit as the afternoon wore on.
Abi likes the carvery at the beach pub here, and it was quite enjoyable for the Oldies as well,
Afterwards the ladies had a look at the amusements and shops and I had a quick 2 1/2 mile circuit of the water,
The lake is full to overflowing with very little shoreline - looked more like winter than summer and it was mega quiet.
Birds:-
Great Spotted Woodpecker. 2 Pied Wagtail. 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Moorhen,
Mallards, Black Headed Gulls and Canada Geese near the car park bread lobbing area.
c40 Lapwing were airborne nearby.
10 Mistle Thrush were on a Bradshaw pylon, seen from the garden this a.m.
