A cold windy day today, brightened somewhat this afternoon.
I enjoyed a walk from Ogden to home via Ned Hill Lane top, giving Soil Hill a miss completely today.
Ogden was similar to yesterday (quiet) but some good stretches of shoreline are beginning
to appear. Hopefully this might tempt something to drop in,
(Adult Med Gull at Redcar Tarn today (KM BOG) so watch this space - Ogden is well overdue for one).
As I left the promenade, a Wader called once from the distant N.W. side, near to where the Lesser Black-backed Gulls were resting on the stony area. Something flushed the lot with all the Gulls flying onto the water.
I had a good look about when I reached this point but failed to locate anything of note - I'm probably hearing things as my old age develops.
Birds:-
c50 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1 Herring Gull, 3 Black Headed Gull.
3 Heron.
Nuthatch, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler (all heard only).
4 possibly 5 Tufted Duck. 2 Canada Geese with 4 Goslings.
2 Pied Wagtail, a few Swallows and 4 Stock Dove seen from Ogden to home.
and a few others.
