Ringstone Very Wet and Very Windy

I had a drive out to Ringstone (with Abi and the park ruled out because of the very poor summer weather at the moment, and some baking on the agenda) I had a free afternoon.

Hoping this wet stuff might bring down a Tern I donned the waterproof gear and had a good scan about, before having a walk along the reservoir wall.

After an hour I was ready to leave when PD came along and we spent another hour or so scanning and  having a chat before the stormy weather forced us into the bird hide for a while.

Large 'waves' all afternoon on the water and not a lot moving through.

Bird:-

Black Headed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Meadow Pipit,

Juv. Pied Wagtail, Mallard - one with very young Ducklings,

2 Oystercatcher, 2 Cormorant. Stock Dove.

3 Great Crested Grebe (Included 1 Juv).

A White Blob , miles off , bouncing up and down.
In and out of view with the waves,
Probably Foam!
Best I could do!!

A few photos from Bradshaw Fields - Wednesday Evening.
