A day of running about with a visit to Wyke and Sowerby Bridge this morning after lunch Sue went to visit her 'old boss' in Elland and dropped me at Elland Bridge.
It was wet and very windy this morning but the weather changed it clothes mid-afternoon and on my walk from Elland to Brookfoot Avocet works later, I wished I'd changed my clothes as well, as it turned out very warm.
The river is very full and fast flowing with nothing much seen on it.
The Ski-Lake trees are making it more difficult to see through the railings and I did not see much here either.
Earlier, 2 'Field Fulls' of (mostly small) Gulls were seen in different parts of Shelf.
One near Giles Hill Lane, Shelf (also 2 Swallow here) and one just before the trailer park approaching Queensbury.
A Peregrine Falcon was seen elsewhere,
Birds (Elland - Brighouse).
Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Heron, Jay, 2 Moorhen,.
Long Tailed Tits, Chiffchaff.
6 Cormorant, Goldfinch and a few others.
(A squirrel was see from our kitchen window which was a first - not often seen in Bradshaw).
