Reg Varney Day & Bradshaw Fields Late Evening

We enjoyed a few bus rides and some walking today. A pleasant sunny day started off quite chilly before ending  quite warm, Chilly by late evening as summer draws to an end soon.

1st off was a walk down Bradshaw Lane to the cenotaph  to catch the 10:10 am 502 bus to Keighley.

This is normally a quite bus but today another bus had blobbed apparently and it was very full.

We looked at a few shops but bought nowt (result!) before splashing out £3.79 each for a small breakfast bap and endless coffee at 'Spoons' yum, yum.

From here we caught the bus to Bingley and walked along the canal / river to Roberts Park Saltaire where we shared a Yorkshire Rascal in the excellent cricket field café.

Along the canal again to Shipley bus station and a bus to Bradford Interchange, then another mega busy bus to Queensbury.

A 40 minute walk home completed our adventure today.

Some of it was quite enjoyable, the busy Bradford bus and traffic not so.

Once in Keighley we have a number of options for a bus / walk route so we will be having  another bus adventure from home.

Birds (Bingley - Saltaire).

Great Spotted Woodpecker.

3 Goosander.

Kingfisher.

Bradshaw Fields (late evening):

Pheasant, a few Meadow Pipits.

3 Lesser Black-backed Gull > West.

c20 Small Gulls in distant fields with a few other nearby.

1 Kestrel.

2 Mistle Thrush airborne.
