A Touch of Winter This Afternoon

I had a walk up to the Raggalds this morning, a sunny outing with a stiff cold wind.

This afternoon was speckled by rain showers some quite heavy and I spent the day

sky watching during the dry bits and cross-wording during the wet bits.

I was hoping for some W. Swan or P. F. Geese but none came my way.

My usual late evening stroll was a bit of a sad affair with my timing not great.

First a heavy hail shower got me then I had to sheltered behind a low wall while the rain pelted down.

I'm pretty low myself so half of me was protected by the wall!

Birds:

(Not a lot).

(Yesterday: 2 Buzzards over Oats Royd).

Raggalds Walk:

Kestrel hunkered down in a sandy hollow in a field.

1 Black Headed Gull. 3 Common Gull.

Garden:

A Sparrowhawk zipped past.

Nothing much in the clear blue sky was disappointing.

Local Fields:

Kestrel.

A Few Meadow Pipits.

Single figure Small Gulls.

1 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Gulls > West late on.

Abi with us tonight.
She going to watch Madagascar Movie.
With a few Vittles!!!
(and she's just had spag boll for tea).
