It was very pleasant in the sun in the garden but dropped quite cold for my late afternoon wander up the local fields.
Pink Footed Geese alerts were 'pinging' from the WhatsApp on my phone this a.m.
One 'ping' interrupted a very important fight we were having with our internet banking app, which was very welcome!
Birds:-
Home to Raggalds:
5 Grey Partridge in the Bonnet fields was a real bonus.
A few Gulls dotted about.
Just one Common Gull in the puddle. (Although it looked big?).
2 Gulls on the hillside were fighting each other which I thought was odd?
Garden:
Coal Tit. Mistle Thrush.
A large flock of Pink Footed Geese were way, way off to the south of me > W.
Impossible to know how many, they were just a moving long grey line from my viewpoint.
They were also picked up AC and CK.
(several 'local' skeins over Northowram > W failed to arrive in my airspace (somehow!!).
Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Raven also.
Local Fields:
Two visits up the fields late a.m. and late p,m. while the ladies were baking etc.
A few Gulls with the ringed Herring Gull.
Pheasant, Buzzard.
2 Stonechat were a great bonus.
5 Mistle Thrush.
Kestrel (or 2).
Absolutely loads of Jet Aircraft leaving vapour trails this morning.
Pinkies - Miles Off!!!
Gulls Fighting.
Common Gull - Raggalds Puddle.
Probably a Buzzard - way off. 1.
Probably a Buzzard - way off 2.
Another - definite Buzzard above.
