Mostly Local

A beautiful sunny day today, spent mostly in the garden.

After lunch we had a stroll up to the Raggalds. left along Percy Rd and back down Taylor Lane.

Before tea I had my usual saunter up the local fields - It grew quite cold when the sun went home.

Birds:-

Garden:

A good start this a.m. when I received a grapevine message (DJS) of c120 Pink Footed Geese  >  west over Lee Mount.

I just managed to pick them out in the bins, over Hunter Hill and later they were seen by SBP over Hebden.

I had a try for a photo but houses and various cables were a nuisance.

The photo just shows them as a black smudge alas.

2 Mistle Thrush.

Nuthatch  - a garden tick.

3 Buzzard sightings.

Little Owl called.

Collard Dove.

Sparrowhawk.

Circular Walk:

Kestrel.

2 Pied Wagtail.

Buzzard.

Local Fields:

Heron.

Pheasant.

5 Mistle Thrush.

Just a few Small Gulls in the fields today.

c10 Lesser Black-backed Gull over > West.

4 Red Admiral.
