Elland to Avocet Wks Brighouse / Local Fields

It was a dull chilly calm morning as I walked along the canal and river from Elland towards Brighouse this morning.

Plenty of dog walkers about taking advantage of the dry weather.

An enjoyable walk, I was out and about for 2 1/2 hours or so, but pretty quiet on the birding front.

Reports of Pinkies were pinging or pinking  on my phone but none entered my airspace ( or the bit I could see periodically).

This afternoon I had my usual stroll up the local fields.
