Brighouse Canal Walk

Very, very windy in Bradshaw today, so we had a run down to Brighouse and enjoyed a walk along the canal as far as the ski-lake and back.

A snack in Spoons was very enjoyable and the pub was not as packed as we expected.

An unwanted Mink was seen in the river by Ganney Lock.

The ski-lake was unusually quite with nothing special noticed.

The sun's glare and railings not helping things.

Waxwings were just visible in the tree tops opposite Lane Head Hotel (as we passed  in the car).

Birds:-

Herring Gull, Common Gull, Black Headed Gull.

One 'Odd Ball' Gull is probably a Common Gull distorted by glare.

Coot, 3 Moorhen.

1 Heron.

3 pretty white Ducks.

A large Diver type overhead is probably a Cormorant although it's flight took 'odd'.

(The distant photo does not help much I'm afraid).

(Mink).

Cormorant probably.

2 Photos above of odd ball Common Gull.
