Waxies Twitch / Local Fields

After some shopping this morning, I finally got some free time this afternoon.....

I had a try for the Waxies seen earlier in the week near RSPCA Halifax .(B.S.).

Keeping with tradition I went a few days too late!

No sign of the Waxies but a few berries remain on the lower most branches, above a very very busy pavement today.

I also checked a few areas close by with no luck.

A consolation prize was a small skein of   c90 Pink Footed Geese seen, probably over Pellon, flying West-ish - my photo captured most of 'em.

Raggalds Flood had lots of juice and 3 Common Gulls as I checked it out on my way home.

A late afternoon look at the local fields (coming dark as I got home) was enjoyable in the dry, crisp weather.

c50 Small Gulls - the vast majority were Common Gulls.

4 Mallard.

1 Mistle Thrush.

A Fox was marking its territory , lower down the fields.

(No sign of my Little Owl for a few days now).

There were some Waxies seen  today at Silverwood Ave. (NCD) - nice one Nick.

Some of the c90 Pink Footed Geese.
