Luddenden Foot - Mytholmroyd Walk

We had a  "there and back" walk along the canal from Luddenden Foot to The Blue Teapot cafe at Mytholmroyd this morning.

6 Geese, low, calling over the Brandy Wine pub south -ish were gone before I could get out of the car to snap 'em.

An enjoyable, mild, calm walk with just a bit of nusiance drizzle late on.

Amazing how the Heron nests have stayed intact after all the gales of late.

Birds:-

c6 Geese (not Canada by the call ).

Fieldfare and Redwing high > west-ish.

5 Heron.

There looked to be 3 Heron nests occupied?

7 Goosander (2 m. 3 f. plus a pr.).

Goldfinch.

Great Spotted Woodpecker.

3 !!!! Canada Geese.

3 Moorhen.

Buzzard.

4 Wren.

Gt. Blue and Long Tailed Tit.

Large flocks of Jackdaws.

Carrion Crow.

Robin. Dunnock.

Black Headed and Common Gull.

1 Cormorant.

A Peregrine Falcon elsewhere.
