Another very windy day but dry and quite sunny later - colder late on.
We enjoyed a walk along the Thornton Cycle Track as far as the Queensbury Tunnel and we called at the excellent outdoor café on the way back.
The three outside sheds were occupied but a kind gentleman from Bradford asked us if we would like to share his shed & picnic table.
I remained on my best behaviour and we all enjoyed a good chin wag - mostly about the beautiful Isle of Wight where we have our main holiday each year.
The gentleman was born in Bournemouth so he was au fait with the I O W.
"Au fait" now there 's posh for yeah -
I can speak good England if I have to or is it good France?
On our way home , we stopped for a moment to gaze lovingly at a very flooded, Raggalds Flood as our eyes feasted on....
2 Gulls.
This aft. I sloped off along the real boggy field path to the farm track and over to Ogden.
A coffee and a KitKat in Ogden café was followed by a circuit of the water before retracing my steps home.
I had thought of going home via Soil Hill but I thought the gale would hinder and bird sightings.
