Sue has been struck down with the cough from hell and really suffered last night.

It also appears to be coming to a nearby lung or two - hope not.

We spent most of the day indoors reading, crosswording and playing cribbage.

I did have a short saunter after lunch to blow the cobwebs away though.

The usual route included the farm tracks, Ned Hill Road, Percy Road and Taylor Lane.

Another dull cold outing plagued by this strong easterly wind brining with it low cloud and damp misty stuff.

Birds:-

c25 Small Gulls in the nearby fields with 3 Herring Gulls.

3 Pheasant.

3 Chaffinch.

1 Greenfinch

c75 Starling,

1 Canada Goose

c40 Woodpigeon in the Bonnet fields.

 and a few other species.

A Heron was seen near Shelf as we came back from the shop.
