Redcar Tarn (Keighley) and Local Fields

We had a visit to make to Keighley mobility this morning after a 'slight mishap' with Emma's wheelie chair yesterday.
Afterwards we had a short visit to Redcar Tarn.
Just a quick lap of the water - Ugh that water -  it tastes awful.

This afternoon I made my usual visit up the local fields.
A dry but very dull and quite cold outing.

Birds:

Redcar Tarn.

2 Oystercatcher, Herring, Lesser Black-backed, Common and Black Headed Gull.
Plus probably a rare Gull that is beyond my ID capabilities?
Cormorant looks to be bombing one photograph?
Tufted Duck, Mallard, Coot, Canada Goose and a few others.

Local Fields:

Red Legged Partridge called - remained unseen.
4 Meadow Pipit.
1 Mistle Thrush.
3 Wheatear - so distant in the horse field that they were invisible till they scuttled about.
5 Stock Dove.
2 Greenfinch.
Curlew and Little Owl - both heard.
Probable Raven - bill looks right  - Possibly not!

Chiffchaff heard from the garden this aft - a first for me from the garden.

Raggalds Flood:

No Ducks!
1 Lapwing, 1 Woodpigeon and 2 Stock Doves.
Water diminishing but looking at the weather for the next few days - not for long.

Redcar Tarn.
