Bradshaw Fields pm

Busy this morning (when the weather was ok ), Free after lunch when the and gale force winds and heavy rain arrived.

The rain abated after tea and I had a walk up the local fields in fine drizzle that eventually petered out as darkness arrived.

The strong winds up here are not doing much for birding and this evening was no exception.

Best of a scant do was a pair of Red Legged Partridge hunkered down in the very, very boggy horse fields.

A couple of weird photos posted below of what I though at the time were distant Stock Doves.

One not messed with a second using Picasa auto contrast?

They are probably Woodpigeon?

Birds:

4 Stock Dove.

2 Little Owl.

2 Red Legged Partridge.

and a few other species,
