Brookfoot L.N.R. / Bradshaw - Soil Hill

We had some carpets fitted yesterday and we had to move a lot of wardrobes etc with stuff in 'em -  from two rooms to make way for the carpets.

It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate.

Anyway, when I fastened the telly back to the sky box it worked! (well second go to be honest).

After the carpet fitters had gone we put all the stuff  back again and most of the stuff in the wardrobes and drawers will most probably stay put for goodness knows how long.

We had a visit to make to Baliff Bridge this a.m. and I took the opportunity to have an hour or so walk along the canal to the ski-lake and then around the lagoon.

Birdsong everywhere with many Blackcaps and Chiffchaff singing and dinging with fewer Willow Warblers.

The sky and the lake were eerily quiet.

After lunch I had a trudge up and over Soil Hill keeping to the main path(s) mostly.

It was difficult to judge the weather today and I was fair sweating by the time I got to the hill top where a pleasant breeze was very, very welcome.

A very enjoyable stroll today.
