We had a visit to make to the Keighley Mobility place late morning and we decided to carry on to Ilkley to look at a few shops.
After the shopping and a snack in Spoons I enjoyed a brief birding walk along the river path while Sue had a relax and a coffee in the tennis club cafe.
Lots of flooded fields here and the path was a tad iffy in places.
A breezy, unusually warm, day with some sharp showers kicking about - but I avoided most of 'em, which was a bonus.
Raggalds Flood had some juice but no birds as we passed.
Birds:-
Ilkley:
1 Swallow and lots of Sand Martins - most of 'em very high.
Buzzard, Red Kite, 2 Redshank, Black Headed Gull.
An 'unusual' Goose - or it it me - anyway looks Greylag-ish.
Chiffchaff, Curlew.
A Dipper zoomed past, soon lost below the river bank.
Herring Gull.
Possibly 2 Yellow Legged Gull - see photo.
Goosander.
Local Fields:
Little Owl, Linnet, Red Legged Partridge & Curlew all heard,
2 Grey Partridge Flushed.
Distant Barn Owl.
Pheasant.
Kestrel.
