Bradshaw Fields (Fri. evening ). Bus rides today

I had a late stroll up the local fields yesterday (Fri.) evening. It was still very warm and I was not expecting much - but - I was rewarded!

I sat in the garden later and Gulls were passing by NE ish to roost.

I took a very poor photo of a passing bird and the poor photo resembled an Auk species! but it weren't it were a black headed gull!

Today was extremely humid.

We caught the Bradshaw bus to Halifax and after some confusion in the new bus station, we caught a bus to Sowerby Bridge.

We walked along the canal towards Hebden Bridge stopping at the Blue Teapot café at Mytholmroyd.

I was exhausted by then for some unknown reason!

A rest , coffee, Toasted T cake and two large glasses of corporation pop later, all was well again and we legged it to Hebden Bridge.

Soon after Mytholmroyd there seemed to be some problem with the canal water supply with lots of mud appearing on the edges of the canal.

Apparently there had been a leak. Some barges looked to be grounded.

Somewhere hereabouts a Black Mink was scurrying along the exposed mud bank and it caught what looked like a mouse.

We had a look around Hebden Bridge where I earned several brownie points when I bought Sue a new dress.

I also got messen a Book from a charity shop.

We then caught the Keighley bus where I was hoping to experience a nice pint of Worthington's at Spoons in Keighley.

Arriving in Oxenhope, the fete was on and Sue decided to get off the bus to have a look-see. She forgot to undo my choke chain so I had to follow (bye bye beer!).

The fete was very busy and the two most important stalls (beer and chippy) had long, long queues so we had a walk down to the Oxenhope Railway Station café for a coffee and a bun.

(bye bye Beer x2).

We caught the next Keighley bound bus from Oxenhope and got off (alighted actually in our bus speak you know) at Cross Roads, where we synchronised nicely with 502 bus to Halifax.
