A short sky watch was quite interesting in some iffy weather this morning.
Some great light in the sky today.
My garden viewing looks over the conifers at Oats Royd and "early" morning when the sun is normally rising over them it makes birds very hard to see.
Today the cloud cover was just right and viewing was marvellous.
Later....
Sue mentioned, a few days ago, that she wanted to walk through the woods at Southowram some time, so this afternoon we did just that.
Early afternoon we caught the 526 bus to Halifax then we went for the 271 to Southowram but this said cancelled on the info board, with no other Southowram bus mentioned.
I thought all the buses were leaving from the bus station now but when we enquired at the office we were directed to wait opposite Iceland in town for the HX2 bus to Brighouse in 20 mins.
The bus duly arrived , a very posh converted Transit with a sliding exit door and a very witty driver!!
From Southowram we walked down a great old paved path through the woods to eventually exit in fields opposite the Ski Lake.
We made a left turn at the field bottom and rose up the field on another cracking stoned stepped path to the hill top.
A walled track led unerringly down to exit near the fishing ponds car park at Brookfoot.
We then followed the canal path all the way to...... Wetherspoons... Brighouse
for a late, light lunch. Yum Yum.
