Ilkley and Bradshaw Fields

On the buses today with the 502 10:00 a.m ish bus to Keighley, followed by a lengthy circuitous bus ride to Ilkley.

We got off the bus before Ilkley  at Old Lane and walked into town along the Dalesway Footpath that follows the river.

Just a small camera with me here today and a few birds did pop up.

A Courting couple of Mandarin Ducks were seen with the female calling and the male chasing any rivals off.

After we got home I had a walk up the local fields - coming dark when I returned.

Here too a few birds were on offer.

Birds:-

Ilkley.

Grey Wagtail.

c6 Mandarin Duck.

Sub-adult large Gull that needs more time to check-out.

2cy Herring Gull perhaps.

A pretty dark brown coloured dabbling Duck in the River Wharf  near the golf course that I cannot turn into anything 'useful'.

Dipper.

Bradshaw:

Barn Owl.

Rook.

2 Pheasant.

Goldfinch.

c10 Small Gulls mostly Common Gull.

45 Canada Geese.

2 Meadow Pipit.
