Shibden Park and Ogden Water to Bradshaw

We had a run down to Shibden Park this afternoon, on the way back Sue dropped me at Ogden so I could get wet.

A dull afternoon got duller with first a heavy shower followed by intermittent drizzle for the most part.

Birds:-

Garden.

A short garden watch a.m.

4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls over.

43 Canada Geese flew low past the house.

Shibden Park.

c120 Black Headed Gull.

c40 Canada Geese.

Moorhen. Coot.

A Nuthatch called as I had a short walk in the woods nearby.

Ogden Water (1 circuit).

c150 Gulls at one point, mostly Black Headed Gulls.

There were a few Lesser Black-backed and Herring Gulls.

(1 Herring Gull looked to have just returned for the war with just a stump for one leg and dishevelled plumage).

The odd Common Gull as well.

Many Coal Tit and Long Tailed Tit flitting about.

Mallard.

Great Spotted Woodpecker heard.

Pair Collard Dove.

Bradshaw Fields.

Pair of Red Legged Partridge.

(One called from the lower farm fields the other was sat on a wall not 20 feet off - it never moved as I walked past).

Canada Geese and a few Gulls was about all.
