Hebden Bridge to Sowerby Bridge

We caught a couple of buses to Hebden Bridge, the Bradshaw Mini Bus was roasty toasty warm and the Hebden Bridge Maxi bus was an ice box on wheels.

(Just a small camera and bins today).

The walk was enjoyable.

I thought we would encounter some icy conditions but at this lower level the ground was ok, although the sky was dull and murky throughout.

Not much in the bird department today but lunch in Spoons , Sowerby Bridge was pretty good.

The 502 bus had arrived in the bus station as we got there, as I legged it down the concourse (now there's a word!) the lanyard came off my  my bins - but - being the fantastic athlete 'what I am' I caught them and ran on , catching the bus, - Yeah Baby!

Checked my yearly Calderdale bird list yesterday and realised I'd missed NK's Mixenden 6 Common Scoter off!! Doh.

So my 'heady' Calderdale yearly list has gone up to 109, which is a treble gosh.

Birds:-

Only a few Canada Geese seen ?

2 Nuthatch.

2 Pied Wagtail.

2 Drake Goosander.

Jay.

2 Cormorant.

It sure looks like a  crossword and book day tomorrow if all these snow weather warnings come true - take care if you are travelling.
