This morning I did my usual jaunt through the farms to Ned Hill Road bottom and back again.
This afternoon I walked up from Holdsworth Schools through the fields, around Bradshaw Park to home.
This afternoon felt a tad warmer ( at times) but a lot of the fields around here are streaming with water.
I was rewarded by a few 'new' species to add to this years very meagre birding list.
Some Birds:
This Morning:
Little Owl, 2 Stock Doves, Mistle Thrush, 2 Bullfinch.
Plus the usual Gulls and Crow species.
(Fox - Mobbed by a Common Gull).
This Afternoon:
House Sparrow, Chaffinch, 3 Stock Dove, c10 Long Tailed Tit, 2 Greenfinch.
A Sparrowhawk whizzed through my bins as I was in Bradshaw Park scanning for a (not seen) Little Owl.
An enjoyable outing while the ladies were................................
"Down town where all the light are bright" Pet!
A bit of a 3 hour job this evening dropping the girls off at the various location.
But they seemed to enjoy the sleep over and nothing broken - that we know of.
