A dull drizzly kind of day today - a 'tad' warmer, no wind to talk of.
Then, thinking about wind, it's not polite to talk of it is it really.
I had a drive over to Ogden Water early afternoon and I did one lap of the reservoir.
It was good to chat with AC who was coming the other way.
It was exceptionally quite here today.
Very little in the waterside bushes / trees and nothing in the promenade sluice area either.
The usual Gulls on the water.
Good to stretch the legs a bit and I enjoyed a coffee and a choc choc bar in the cafe (just made it before closing time).
Mixenden Reservoir.
I took a few photos from the 'top road' but I didn't eyeball anything special.
Birds:-
c60 Small Gulls at one point 50/50 Black Headed, Common at a rough guess.
2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
(Possibly 3 with a distant Dark Sub-adult Large Gull).
c6 Herring Gull came in to bathe, could have been more - very distant.
2 Treecreeper.
2 Bullfinch.
2 Robin.
That January for you!
