Bus Bingo - Todmorden to Mytholmroyd

On the buses today - a S.B.D.

This a.m. these two old geezers had to take our old large freezer, a bit of a car squeezer, saving £25, like an Ebeneezer,  to the Halifax tip. um.

Afterwards , being behind schedule, we legged it down Bradshaw Lane to catch the 10:08 502 bus towards Keighley, making it to the bus stop by 10:06 phew!

However, either the bus blobbed or had gone though early because it didn't come to see us - boo hoo!

Undeterred (1) we opted to hang around and catch the 526 bus to Halifax.

This came along, but for some unknown reason, went the wrong way to Keighley Road.

Arriving at Halifax bus station we watched  the back end of our Hebden Bridge bus leave the stand as we got there - boohoo.

Undeterred (2) we waited for the 593 Burnley bus and got off it at Todmorden (change of walk plan).

It was now lunchtime so we called at Lidl for a takeaway sandwich which we ate on a cold canal bench on the canal towpath watched by some begging, noisy, Canada Geese.

(Bread is bad for Geese so we gave 'em nowt).

It was good to start walking to get warmed up!

Along the canal - nothing much happened - and we called at Hebden Bridge for a coffee to warm up.

Our Haworth - Keighley bus links were completely shot by now, because of the time, so we checked the bus times to Halifax - 25 mins to wait - so we carried on along the canal to Mytholmroyd to catch it - but somehow missed it!

Undeterred (3) we stood by the roadside for 30 mins for the, late, 593 bus to Halifax.

Arriving at the bus station we watched the back end of our Bradshaw 502 bus  leave without us - boohoo!

Undeterred (4) we went to wait for the 521 bus but 'they - more than one' were cancelled... but the 523 came and we got to Bradshaw Church.

Bit of a Bus Bingo Card today all the numbers on my card remained un-daubered!
