A short saunter up the local fields before waiting in for a delivery man with a nice short time slot of between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m!!
There were a few birds about to keep the interest going.
2 Stonechat were flitting about in front of me along the bog path.
Each time I got near they moved along.
I noticed the Female bird had 2 legs rings and I eventually got a half decent photo of it.
Thanks to Steve D. who did some investigate work to find the ringer and the bird was ringed in the U.K.
(I've emailed the ringer with a photo of the bird)
Birds:-
2 Stonechat.
2 Meadow Pipit.
Green Woodpecker called loudly from it's 'usual' place.
Pheasant.
1st Field held 35 Gulls including 2 Herring Gulls.
2nd Field held 25 Gulls including c10 Herring Gulls.
A Mistle Thrush was singing.
A Sparrowhawk was unhappy with a Gull species (I though they were both Raptors at the time) One was making an odd call for a Raptor so it was probably the Gull.
(Nothing on Mixenden Reservoir as we passed 5p.m. ish).
