Hanging Stone Lane:
A trip following a message from TW on the Calderdale WhatsApp Birding Group.
This path is a real cracker - just had a short hour here today.
I had a look for 'the unmentionable' at Hanging Stone Lane.
After, we had a coffee at The Fleece Inn on our way to Ringstone Reservoir.
and..
Late afternoon I had a walk up the local fields.
Ready for a kip now!
Birds:-
Hanging Stone Lane:
Great Spotted Woodpecker seen and also one heard drumming.
Also a very faint drumming from opposite me about 400 yds the Halifax side of The Bridge Inn of a ..... G.S.W ( Thanks to AH ).
So another place to try for the little beggar.
Ringstone Reservoir.
Loads of Gulls, Geese, Lapwing and some Golden Plover here.
34 Golden Plover.
c85 Canada Geese (In view).
One with an Orange Ring on its neck.
Cormorant.
3 Oystercatcher (my 1st this spring).
Pied Wagtail.
2 Stock Dove.
Greenfinch.
c90 Fieldfare > West.
Bradshaw Fields:
2 Stonechat.
2 Little Owl.
c80 Gulls.
Singing Mistle Thrush.
Meadow Pipit.
plus Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Chaffinch seen from the garden.

Ringstone Reservoir.

St Aidens RSPB Nature Reserve:
A long trek around this massive site where Black Headed Gulls were very, very noisy with some competition from the Geese.
