Blackstone Edge and Whitehome Reservoirs

After another busy morning I made a rare visit to Blackstone Edge mid-afternoon parking at the main road pull in opposite the reservoir.

It was flipping cold here in the strong breeze  and I was glad I'd brought an extra coat!

I walked down the undulating M1 road to the right of the water , for 400 yds or so, to take the good track through the kissing gate on the left.

This great track leads unerringly to Whitehome reservoir where I turned right to follow the water round to the top corner to the small stream.

After retracing my steps I then walked the left hand side to the stone tower inspection thingy.

Here I decided to go left and loop around on another excellent track that eventually arrives at the west side of Blackstone Edge Reservoir.

To warm up and to miss the tea time traffic I called at the White pub and enjoyed a mega sweet hot chocolate and some dry roasted peanuts - excellent constipation therapy.
