Cromwell Bottom N.R.

Toooooooooo Windy Miller in Bradshaw for birding this morning so I jumped into my black Lagonda V12 and whooshed down the autobahn to Brighouse del sol.

AITOBAHN

Bits of drizzle blown along by a tad of a breeze made a long outing quite bearable.

I spent 3 hours plus here today exploring a few different paths.

No cafe stop for me today, so I sat on a cold bench near the fishing ponds to nosh a cold sandwich with a cold packet of crisps, a cold apple, half a cold Kit-Kat all swilled down with cold water from a cold plastic bottle... play sad music or maybe same Coldplay?

Lots and lots of birdsong with Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap most vociferous.

The Ski-Lake was very quiet and the river, although very low, did not reveal anything "special".

There is probably a tin of 'special' brew here somewhere but I failed to see it.

Still - an enjoyable outing.

....... Still Windy Miller present when I got home.
