Ringo Comes To Town

I didn't get out until 2 ish this afternoon where I walked along the local fields.
The walk was curtailed by a phone call from Sue, who offered me a lift to Ogden 'on her way' to see her friend - which I gratefully accepted - and turned for home.
The wind was a real dog today although some of the Ogden circuit was sheltered,
I did 75% of the circuit, checking the woodland for a bit, then leaving the water at the far east end to rise through the woods (where I hung about a while listening for a migrant but only hearing a Great Spotted Woodpecker) to the good track that runs to the car park.

Home was via Ned Hill Track, Soil Hill main path(s) and Taylor Lane.

As I approached Taylor Lane I was on the lookout for A Ring Ousel where, much earlier this morning ,  DJB had seen two hereabouts.
With the strong wind and quite a number of hours having passed since DJB's sightings (it was now approaching 17:00) and as I was approached the last house on the leftwith not a sniff It was looking very doubtful.
A fortuitous scan of a field wall here revealed a Male Ring Ouzel! Result.

The bird flushed immediately towards the midden and remained hidden for a bit before landing on a wall, looking about and leaving again.
