I had an hour or so look at Blackstone Edge reservoir late morning (11:30 - 12:30) on our way to Hollingworth Lake.
Sue read in the car while I had me 'ed blasted off.
Pretty rough conditions with gale force winds battering the camera and bins with the odd heavy shower.
Looks like everyone and his dog were seeing the Sanderlings that are present here - well I did not see 'em!
It was difficult to keep the camera still and although there is bags of shoreline the water is quite distant.
After the birding disappointment at Blackstone Edge, we called at the RSPCA Cafe at Hollingworth Lake to console me.
I had a SMALL breakfast (Bacon, Sausage, Poached Egg, Mushrooms, Beans, Fried Bread, Tomato, Hash Browns and Toast),
We did a circuit of Hollingworth Lake before I went for 15 minutes more punishment at Blackstone Edge.
