Cromwell Botton L.N.R. / Ringstone Reservoir

I dropped Sue off to see her 'ex-boss' at Elland before I headed down to Cromwell L.N.R. for a couple of hours birding.

Good to chat with Mick & Kath down there and Thanks to DJS for his phone call (neither species heard or seen Dave!)

Top of the shop was a Garden Warbler that was singing its head off in dense foliage, within 3 feet of me.

Having limited time I loitered about hoping it would move but I failed to get a photograph in the time.

Back at  Elland "We" decided to have a look at Ringstone Reservoir hoping for an anagram of " Diner Slang" to turn up.

We called at the Co op for scran,  and shared a very enjoyable meal deal snack in the car at Ringstone.

Some good birds seen on a short meander here but the strong wind was a feature and some showers were on the menu also.

The Waders were difficult to pick out with just bins and a camera.

I had a scope in the car but with the strong wind I could not be A.... bothered to lug it about ... Idle, lazy sod what I am.

Mixenden Reservoir seen from the top road on the way home had just a few Canada Geese .
