Bradshaw - Soil Hill - Ned Hill Track/Road and Bradshaw Farm Tracks

Another cracking day, weather wise and a very sunny warm afternoon as I headed off up the road.

(Looks like the weather is going to break for the bank holiday weekend).

Birding time has been at a premium of late, but today Sue had a visit from her friend Helen so I had a free afternoon.

I went up Taylor Lane over 'The Hill' along Ned Hill Track and down Ned Hill Road to pass along through the farms to home.

It was great to get me walking boots on even if I was perspiring profusely as I climbed up to Percy Road.

Hot afternoons on Soil Hill are not contusive to good birds but I did Ok.

Plenty of bird song but few birds willing to leave cover - espicially the Soil Hill Whitethroat Gang. The farm track also revealed some Whitethroat and these did appear but went past in a blur not allowing any photos alas.

A Weasel dashed across the top on Ned Hill Road and disappeared into a wall.

Birds:-

Home to Ned Hill Track:

Moorhen with a young bird and 2 Canada Geese on NK pond.

5 Skylark, 7 Willow Warbler, 3 Meadow Pipit, 4 Linnet, 2 Pheasant.

4 Whitethroat -  an odd one singing most scolding me from deep in the brambles.

 Greenfinch.

Ned Hill Road to Home;

Pied Wagtail, Swallow, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Stock Dove.

Chaffinch.

3 Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Meadow Pipit.

The usual large contingent of Crows, Jackdaws and Magpies by the farm.
