After a dull morning, weather wise and a plumber visit wise and shopping wise (where I actually spent forty five smackeroonies!) the weather improved - but - not as warm as previously leaving a pleasant afternoon.
Things are quietening down now with nothing new seen locally for a good while.
There is a huge amount of gorse / whin on the hillside near the farm and the ruin buildings and I look at it longingly each visit in the hope of seeing ......... owt!
Enjoyable enough though to get out in the fresh (dry) air.
Birds:-
2 Swallow ( Where have all our local Swallows gone?).
2 Linnet.
A small flock of c10 Goldfinch over.
4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
Chaffinch.
2 Stock Doves.
A few singing Dunnocks.
Various 'versions' of the crow family - many Jackdaw feeding squawky youngsters in the ruins.
