I enjoyed a walk with friends, along the canal from Brighouse to the Ski-Lake, past the lagoon and back.
Another dull, cool miserable type of day, improved when we sat down at the Golden Hind chippy for fish, salad and treacle sponge and custard.
A few birds did make an appearance but viewing the ski-lake from the canal is very, very limited with many trees in full leaf still.
(A short meander up the local fields late p.m. was disappointing).
Birds:
Walk:
Raven.
c20 Cormorant.
5 Goosander.
c20 Siskin that landed high in a tree by the canal side were very mobile.
I was hoping for a Redpoll in among but I think they are all Siskin.
Great Crested Grebe.
Heron. Jay.
2 Moorhen.
1 Mute Swan.
3 Pied Wagtail.
2 Grey Wagtail.
